Terriers draw home tie in First Round of Capital One Cup
Huddersfield Town will play League 1 Bradford City in the First Round of the Capital One Cup.
The Terriers have been drawn at home in the tie which is due to be played on the week commencing August 5.
The last time Town played their Yorkshire rivals was in a cup competition when the Bantams knocked the Terriers out of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on penalties (3-4). The tie had earlier finished as a 2-2 draw with Peter Clarke and Tommy Miller scoring for Town.
In 2008, the sides met in the League Cup with Town running out four goal winners. Jonathan Worthington, Robbie Williams and a brace from Gary Roberts proved more than enough on the night.
The last time Bradford beat Town in Huddersfield was almost a decade ago when Owen Morrison scored for the visitors.
Last season, Bradford City reached the final defeating both Arsenal and Aston Villa along the way before losing to Swansea City in the final.
Ticket details for the clash will be released in due course via htafc.com.
