WHAT’S YOUR #HTAFCGREATEST TEAM?

1 July 2013

Rekorderlig's Kieron Barton selects his Town side

To celebrate the launch of the new 2013/14 home kit as tailored by PUMA, htafc.com is asking for your #htafcgreatest team – and another Town fan has made his selection today!

Kieron Barton of Rekorderlig - who is a lifelong Town fan - has selected the best XI players he has ever seen pull on the famous blue and white stripes, following closely on from Sir Patrick Stewart (click HERE for his eleven), Chris Fountain (click HERE), Local MP Jason McCartney (click HERE), actor Reece Dinsdale (click HERE) and author David Peace (click HERE) to continue our drive to find Town’s best side.

Kieron Barton's #htafcgreatest:

It's taken longer than I thought and I’ve involved a few people in this, but I think I have a strong team only from the years I have spent watching Town! I know we have had some fabulous players before this but I first started watching us in 1982 so to go beyond that is difficulty for me to do.

This team has pace, strength and leadership. It also has a game-changing bench with some incredible players on there - some of whom would be worth a fortune today! I would pay good money to see this team!

1. Steve Harper
2. Malcolm Brown
3. Tom Cowan (c)
4. Simon Webster
5. Peter Clarke
6. Chris Marsden
7. Peter Butler
8. Mark Lillis

10. Andy Booth
11. Duncan Shearer

Do you disagree with Kieron's selection? Let us know via Twitter (@htafcdotcom) before 26 July and we’ll select one #htafcgreatest side at random, with the lucky tweeter winning a bag of PUMA goodies!

Supporters can order the new shirt, shorts and socks online 24 hours a day, seven days a week via htafcmegastore.com – click HERE to browse the entire PUMA range now!

The blue and white striped shirts, which start from £40 for adults in short sleeves, are made from lightweight polyester, with mesh side and underarm panels for extra cooling.

The predominantly white shorts, which start from £20 for adults, are also lightweight polyester, with single blue and black taping down the left leg to match with the shirt collar.

The black socks start from £10 in adult sizes.

Huddersfield Town has called upon some of its greatest ever players to showcase the new 2013/14 home kit, as designed by PUMA – with an eleven of legendary Huddersfield Town players chosen to don the shirts on the 100th anniversary of the Club wearing blue and white stripes, following from the inaugural striped shirt in the 1913/14 campaign.
