Holmes nets in opening stalemate
Town’s Professional Development Coaches Frankie Bunn and Tony Carss led the Under-18 side in their first pre-season friendly of the 2013/14 season at Brighouse Town on Friday evening, with the game finishing in a 2-2 draw.
Brighouse’s First Team plays in the Northern Counties East Premier Division – six tiers below their counterparts at Town – and took the lead before goals from Under-21 midfielder Duane Holmes and a trialist put Town ahead.
Brighouse scored a deserved equaliser late in the game.
