Robins selects strong starting XI
Mark Robins has named his side for today’s pre-season friendly at Oldham Athletic.
Alex Smithies starts in goal, protected by a back four of Paul Dixon, Joel Lynch, Captain Peter Clarke and Jack Hunt.
In midfield, Oliver Norwood and Oscar Gobern will sit behind Adam Clayton (right), Martin Paterson (centre) and Adam Hammill (left).
Last season’s top scorer James Vaughan will lead the line.
