Town’s coaches work with partner schools
Huddersfield Town’s Football in the Community coaches have been visiting partner schools to help improve pupils’ reading skills.
Town’s coaches have been visiting Shelley First and Shepley First schools once a week to encourage reading amongst girls and boys. The football element of being taught by Town’s coaches has helped the pupils be more engaged with their reading.
Town coach Josh Hill is seen pictured above with a pupil from Shelley.
Town’s attendance at both schools is just one of the perks of being a school partner with the Club.
In just two years Huddersfield Town has actively formed closer links with over 50 local schools through the School Partnership scheme.
The scheme provides schools with access to discounted tickets, support sessions, sports equipment and coaching days courtesy of the Club’s Football in the Community department.
Involvement in the scheme is totally FREE to any school who wants to become an official Huddersfield Town Partner School.
