EMLEY RUN OUT FOR U21s

31 July 2013

Eyre’s men set for local match

Huddersfield Town’s U21s are in action on Thursday evening in the annual friendly against AFC Emley.

Although Town will feature mainly development players tomorrow evening, Mark Robins has suggested that the likes of Anthony Gerrard, who is returning from injury, could feature.

Town’s development squad has played three games so far in pre-season and recorded one victory, one draw and a defeat.

AFC Emley – 2012/13 season

North Huddersfield based Emley play in the Northern Counties East League Division 1 and finished a highly respectable seventh last season.

Emley’s highest win last season was in their penultimate game of the season at home to Bottesford Town when they recorded an 8-0 victory.

AFC Emley – one to watch

Striker Steven Kenworthy is likely to lead the line for Emley on Thursday night; he was once a part of Town’s Academy, but failed to gain a scholarship.

Admission information

Town fans will pay at the turnstiles for the pre-season fixture, with prices set at £6 for adults and £3 for concessions and under-16s.
