Town teams up with Fired Up to deliver Music and Sport Summer Camp in China

Three Huddersfield Town coaches have landed in China to help deliver a Music and Sport Summer Camp to local youngsters as part of the Club’s international development programme.

UEFA B licensed coaches Rob Day and Dave Nicholls, who coach the Under-11s in Town’s Academy, have joined Luis Alcantarilla in travelling to China as the second stage of Town’s partnership with the Fired Up Corporation begins.

Fired Up Corporation – a global company with roots in Huddersfield - is a vertically integrated manufacturer producing lifestyle products for the home and the hospitality industry.

A company with a worldwide customer base, Fired Up began in Huddersfield in 1998 as a small manufacturer of fires and fireplaces and has grown over the past 15 years to employ over 350 people and operates businesses in the UK, USA and China.

As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, Fired Up has previously held Summer Camps based on music in Nantou Town, Zhongshan city, Guangdong province. Now, with Town’s help, this has become a ‘music and sport’ and reaches double the number of children.
