Four changes made to starting XI
Huddersfield Town’s Development Squad Captain Jordan Sinnott has been handed his senior in one of four changes for today’s FA Cup with Budweiser Fourth Round tie at home to Leicester City; 3pm kick-off.
Caretaker bosses Mark Lillis and Steve Eyre have handed midfielder Sinnott his full debut at the expense of the ineligible Neil Danns, who cannot feature against his parent club.
The same applies to striker Jermaine Beckford, whose place in the side is taken by Lee Novak.
Northern Ireland international Oliver Norwood also comes back into the team after sitting out the Watford game; he replaces Sean Scannell in midfield.
Another midfielder, Scott Arfield, comes in for his first start in three games at the expense of Paul Dixon, with Town reshuffling the pack slightly in terms of team shape.
Alex Smithies will be hoping for his second successive clean sheet in this season’s FA Cup behind a back four of left back Calum Woods, Anthony Gerrard, Captain Peter Clarke and Jack Hunt at right back.
Oliver Norwood, Jordan Sinnott, Scott Arfield and Adam Clayton will form a narrow midfield four today, with Lee Novak joining former Leicester City loanee James Vaughan in attack.
Lillis and Eyre have named a young bench; alongside experienced player such as Ian Bennett, Paul Dixon, Alan Lee and Sean Scannell, the likes of Murray Wallace and midfielders Matt Crooks and Duane Holmes are also involved.
