Record sales posted over Christmas
Huddersfield Town’s Club Partner Sainsbury’s enjoyed a record-breaking festive trading week over Christmas, notching up an incredible £16 million in one hour on December 23 – and Commercial Director Sean Jarvis reckons the Terriers may have played a small role in that success!
Sales of ‘Town Tea’ have been fantastic over the festive period with fans snapping them up from the shelves in Sainsbury’s and Town’s retail outlets, as well as online via www.htafcmegastore.com (click HERE).
The product has proved particularly popular with exile Town fans that have been able to enjoy a taste of Town despite being thousands of miles away.
The impressive sales of ‘Town Tea’ coincide with the Club’s record breaking winter in terms of retail sales.
Huddersfield Town Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:
“As a Club we look to be innovative in everything that we do and I don’t know of many clubs who have their own range of tea!
“Although the idea is rather novel, it has proven extremely popular and sales of the product have been very encouraging."
