Development Squad regular loaned out for the season
Huddersfield Town midfielder Scott Kay is set to join Blue Square Bet Premier side Southport on loan for the rest of the 2012/13 season.
The 23 year-old – a regular in the Development Squad as an overage player with six appearances – will move to Southport, who are managed by Liam Watson and currently sit 12th in their table with 35 points from 28 games.
Kay worked with Town’s Senior Professional Development Coach Steve Eyre as he progressed through the ranks at Manchester City as a youngster before joining League 2 Macclesfield Town last season, where he made 18 appearances.
He joined Town on a one year contract in the summer.
