Defender selected for Austria friendly
Huddersfield Town defender Joel Lynch has received a call-up to Chris Coleman’s senior Wales squad for their friendly match against Austria.
The defender – who is now back in training following a hamstring problem – is part of the Wales squad to face Austria at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday 6 February.
The 25 year-old defender was born in Eastbourne, but qualifies for Wales through his Dad and picked up his first cap for his adopted country in August 2012.
Lynch's teammates Oliver Norwood and Murray Wallace could also be in international action that week after being called up by Northern Ireland and the Scotland Under-21 squad respectively.
