FIRED UP FIRST INTERNATIONAL PARTNER

18 January 2013

International Development programme takes shape

Huddersfield Town’s new International Development programme has taken a big step forward with the announcement of the Fired Up Corporation as the Club’s first ‘international’ partner.

Following on from last week’s announcement of the Club’s new initiative to expand into new areas of the world (click HERE for full info) Fired Up Corporation – a global firm with roots in Huddersfield – has now come on board.

Fired Up Corporation is a globally integrated manufacturer of appliances for the home improvement, hotel supply and healthcare mobility industries.

A company with a worldwide customer base, Fired Up began in Huddersfield in 1998 as a small manufacturer of fires and fireplaces and has grown over the past 15 years to employ over 350 people and operates businesses in the UK, USA and China.

Fired Up Corporation’s CEO Richard Kaye joined Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and International Development Manager Ajin Abraham at the Stadium to celebrate the new partnership.

Huddersfield Town’s International Development Manager Ajin Abraham explained the new enterprise:

“Our International Development programme – like all Huddersfield Town’s activity – is underpinned by the philosophy that we should ‘do the right thing’. We want to make a difference to the communities that we visit across the world and the Fired Up Corporation shares that goal.

“We approached the Fired Up Corporation because they have a track record of making a positive impact in the communities in which they operate globally through innovative social programs and that matches what we want to do as we take Huddersfield Town to new regions across the world.

“Richard Kaye and his team are incredibly enthusiastic and we can’t wait to work together to show the world that Huddersfield truly is the ‘Place To Make It’.”

Fired Up Corporation’s CEO Richard Kaye added:

“At Fired Up we pride ourselves on our multinational and diverse approach to business, yet we remain equally proud of our Yorkshire heritage and feel that partnering Huddersfield Town in its international initiative is the ideal way to increase awareness of the Club and its ambitions overseas.”

News of Huddersfield Town’s first joint venture with the Fired Up Corporation will be announced next week.
