ALAN VISITS RAVENSHALL

Striker calls in at School Partner

Town’s School Partner Ravenshall received one of the perks of being a part of the scheme last week when striker Alan Lee and Club Ambassador Andy Booth paid them a visit.

The pair dropped in last week to chat to the students. Andy and Alan answered questions about their experiences as footballers with Huddersfield Town and took part in various classroom activities varying from cooking tasks to science challenges.

In just short of two years Huddersfield Town has actively formed closer links with local schools through the School Partnership scheme.

The scheme provides schools with support sessions, sports equipment and coaching days free of charge courtesy of the Club’s Football in the Community department.

Involvement in the scheme is totally free of charge to any school who wants to become an official Huddersfield Town Partner School. The scheme has five tiers of commitment which means schools can participate at any level they desire.

The aim of the partnership is to formalise all the offerings Huddersfield Town currently make to schools in one service through the Club, FITC and support sessions. It will also provide schools with assistance during the recession through 'cashback' schemes, student rewards, player visits and school kits provided by Huddersfield Town.
