TOWN’S TEAM vs. NOTTINGHAM FOREST

19 February 2013

Robins makes four changes to starting XI

Town Manager Mark Robins has made four changes to his starting XI for tonight’s npower Championship game at Nottingham Forest; 7.45pm kick-off at the City Ground.

Former Forest defender Joel Lynch, who spent three seasons with tonight’s opponents before joining Town in the summer, returns to centre half at the expense of Anthony Gerrard.

Elsewhere Oliver Norwood comes back into midfield after being rested for Town’s FA Cup exploits last week; Scott Arfield drops out of the starting eleven.

Top scorer Lee Novak completes his comeback from injury after his goal as a substitute against Wigan on Sunday, with Chris Atkinson dropping out of the line-up to accommodate the striker.

The final change comes in attack, where James Vaughan replaces Alan Lee.

Town’s side is expected to line up in a 4-1-2-1-2 shape tonight, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies looking for a 10th clean sheet of the season behind a back four of Calum Woods, former Red Joel Lynch, Captain Peter Clarke and Jack Hunt. Oliver Norwood will sit in front of the back four with Adam Clayton and Neil Danns ahead of him, leaving Sean Scannell to play just off strikers Lee Novak and James Vaughan in attack.
