Lillis and Eyre name unchanged line-up
Captain Peter Clarke makes the 400th League start of his career at Derby County today as part of an unchanged starting XI named by Huddersfield Town Caretakers Mark Lillis and Steve Eyre.
Full back Calum Woods also makes his 200th appearance of his career in all competitions as former Derby player and coach Lillis keeps faith with the team that was so impressive in Wednesday night’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Goalkeeper Alex Smithies will be looking for a ninth clean sheet of the season today behind a back four of Woods, Clarke, Anthony Gerrard and Jack Hunt. Oliver Norwood will sit deep in midfield behind Scott Arfield and Neil Danns, with Adam Clayton ahead of them in the new-look diamond shape.
Having scored his fifth goal of the season against his former club Palace in midweek, James Vaughan comes up against another previous employer in Derby County today; he played twice for the Rams during a one month loan spell in late 2009. Lee Novak is his strike partner today.
With Jermaine Beckford missing due to his injured hamstring, fit again Oscar Gobern returns to the bench for the first time following his ankle surgery earlier in the season.
