TOWN HOLD CHARITY SIGNING DAY

22 February 2013

At the Club’s training ground Canalside Sports Complex

Huddersfield Town held its third charity signing day of the season on Thursday to help raise money for local charities.

Representatives of two charities, the Freedom Project and Practical Action were in attendance at Canalside, getting the opportunity to meet the HTAFC players and get their official merchandise signed for use in fundraising.

Huddersfield Town Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan commented: “Huddersfield Town is committed to helping local charities where possible, therefore we were happy to welcome both The Freedom Project and Practical Action’s representatives to Canalside yesterday for our third charity signing day. We hope they raise a lot of funds from the signed merchandise and enjoyed meeting the players.”

Town’s next charity signing day is expected to be in April/May 2013. To register your interest please email rachel.taylor@htafc.com or write to: Rachel Taylor, Huddersfield Town Football Club, Stadium Way, Huddersfield, HD1 6PX. Please clearly state your name, position, the name of the charity and its registered charity number. Full details of dates and times will be given to those interested in due course.

If you are an individual fundraising on behalf of a charity who would like to attend the signing day, we will require a reference or sanction letter/email from your chosen charity to accompany your letter.

As for the past three years Town’s main charity partnership is with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the joint venture ‘Keep it Up’ campaign.
