Defender adds January award to December accolade
Town defender Anthony Gerrard has been voted by Blue & White Foundation members as their January ‘Player of the Month’!
It is the second successive month that the centre back has been voted as Town's best monthly performer after picking up the award during a difficult December for the Club.
Gerrard narrowly fought off competition from centre back partner Peter Clarke to win the award.
BWF member David Roebuck of Honley was one of the many fans that voted for the former Cardiff City man and was drawn at random to meet Anthony ahead of Saturday’s game with Cardiff City to present him with his champagne!
He will also receive a commemorative photograph with Anthony as well as a meal for two courtesy of the Grange pub and restaurant at Grange Moor.
