Town to travel to the Hawthorns in early 2014

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side will travel to West Bromwich Albion for the Fourth Round of the FA Youth Cup on Tuesday 14 January 2014, kick-off 7pm.

The match will be played at the Premier League side’s Hawthorns ground and will be the Under-18s' second game following the winter break.

Fans can watch the clash next January with prices on the gate at £5 adults and £3 concessions.

Town’s Under-18s, managed by Professional Development Coaches Frankie Bunn and Tony Carss, have reached this stage after beating Luton Town 3-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium in the Third Round; click HERE for a match report.

Opponents West Brom defeated Walsall at home 2-1 in a Third Round Midlands derby. Managed by James Shan, they play in the Under-18 Barclays Premier League South.

The two sides have only met once before in the FA Youth Cup, with Town winning a two-legged semi-final 2-1 on aggregate in route to the Club’s only FA Youth Cup Final appearance in the 1973/74 season.

The Under-18s’ next league match is also in early 2014, when Town welcome Sheffield Wednesday on January 11.
