Striker makes first appearances for Fleetwood Town

Huddersfield Town’s on-loan striker Daniel Carr made his first appearances for Fleetwood Town during the last week.

The 19 year-old made his home debut as a second half substitute in Fleetwood’s 2-1 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory against Rotherham.

He then made his first appearance at League 2 level last Saturday when he played the last half an hour of Fleetwood’s 2-1 victory at fellow Play-Off contenders Rochdale.

Tranmere’s recent good form has taken a hit in the last few weeks. A 5-0 defeat in the FA Cup against Peterborough was followed by a 4-1 loss at Carlisle last Saturday. Liam Ridehalgh played the full 90 minutes, while Chris Atkinson was substituted on the hour mark.

Wycombe halted Jimmy Spencer’s Scunthorpe’s three match winning streak with a 1-1 draw. Spencer replaced goalscorer Deon Burton in the 88th minute.

Jimmy could next feature for the Iron this Saturday when they host Morecambe; Chris and Liam welcome Gillingham this Friday, while Carr could be set to make his second appearance at Highbury against Cheltenham.
