The 19 mile walk will set off from Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s airbase at Leeds Bradford Airport to the Stadium in time for the home game v Watford on Saturday 5 October 2013.

 

Entrants will also take part in a lap of honour on arrival at the Stadium prior to kick-off!

 

Although this is the Club’s third ‘Walk for Pounds’, it is the first in which participants will walk back to the Stadium rather than to an away game like in previous seasons.

 

Town Chairman Dean Hoyle, who took part in last season’s walk commented: “Walk for Pounds has become an annual event in the Club calendar, and one which has been very well supported by Town supporters, partners and staff over the last couple of seasons. 

 

“It will be a great feeling for those who take part to walk into the Stadium before the Watford game having completed the walk, and having raised much needed funds for the HTAFC Academy and YAA charity in the process.”

 

YAA Director of Fundraising Paul Gowland echoed Dean’s sentiments: “At the charity we appreciate every single Town supporter who has raised funds for the campaign over the last four seasons, and we’re looking forward to kicking off the 2013/14 season with the third Walk for Pounds.” 

 

The event entry fee is £10 per person which includes coach transport from Canalside to LBA to begin the walk, breakfast pre-walk, a snack and refreshment as well as an ‘I completed the Walk’ t-shirt.

Please note participants aged 15 and under must be supervised by an adult aged 18+ and will be required to complete a parental consent form.
