TOWN’S TEAM vs. QPR

10 August 2013

Hammill and Gobern come into starting eleven

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins has made two changes to his starting eleven for today’s Sky Bet Championship home game against Queens Park Rangers; 3pm kick-off.

Adam Hammill (pictured) makes his first start of the 2013/14 season in place of Jack Hunt, who is among the substitutes today.

Elsewhere Jonathan Hogg drops out of the match day eighteen through illness, so his place in the starting eleven is taken by Oscar Gobern.

Town are otherwise unchanged from the midweek victory over the Bantams and are expected to continue in the 3-5-2 formation that served them so well.

Goalkeeper Alex Smithies will play behind three centre halves this afternoon; Joel Lynch, Captain Peter Clarke and Anthony Gerrard, who is making the 350th appearance of his career today.

Left wing back Jake Carroll, who turns 22 on Sunday, and right wing back Adam Hammill will play wide of the central midfield trio of Oliver Norwood, Oscar Gobern and the more advanced Adam Clayton.

Martin Paterson will partner top scorer James Vaughan in attack.
