TOWN’S TEAM vs. MILLWALL

17 August 2013

Robins makes one change to starting XI

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins has made one change to the starting XI for today’s Championship game at Millwall; 3pm kick-off at the Den.

Midfielder Jonathan Hogg, who missed last weekend’s home stalemate with QPR through illness, returns to the starting XI, with Oscar Gobern dropping to the bench.

Otherwise the Terriers are unchanged from last weekend, which means they are likely to stick with the 3-5-2 formation that served them so well.

Goalkeeper Alex Smithies will play behind centre halves Joel Lynch, Anthony Gerrard and skipper Peter Clarke, who is making his 200th Huddersfield Town appearance today.

Jake Carroll is once again deployed at left wing-back with Adam Hammill on the right, leaving Oliver Norwood, Jonathan Hogg and Adam Clayton to form the central midfield trio.

Up front Martin Paterson – fresh from his heroics for Northern Ireland in midweek – partners top scorer James Vaughan.
