TOWN HOLDS SIGNING DAY

22 August 2013

In aid of a number of charities at Canalside

Huddersfield Town players were busy signing official merchandise on Wednesday lunchtime as the Club held another of its charity signing days at Canalside Sports Complex.

Town gave local registered charities the opportunity to obtain discount on merchandise in the Stadium Superstore and then have those items signed by the first team players. The signed merchandise will then be used in auctions and raffles to raise money for the charities.

Representatives from the following charities attended the day: The Future Group raising money for “Levi's Star” a local charity which supports children with brain tumours; Scholes CC on behalf of Help for Heroes and the Cricket Club; Sam Eastwood representing The Alzheimer’s Society; Family of Benjamin James.

Huddersfield Town Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan commented:

“Huddersfield Town is committed to helping local charities where possible, therefore we were happy to welcome the charities and their supporters to Canalside so they can get their merchandise signed and meet the players. We hope they raise a lot of funds from the signed items and enjoyed meeting the players.”

Town’s next charity signing day is expected to be in October, 2013.
