Sinnott scores on full debut in 3-0 home win over Accrington
It was an excellent weekend for Huddersfield Town midfielder Jordan Sinnott as he scored on his full debut for loan club Bury in their 3-0 home win Accrington Stanley in League 2.
The Town Academy graduate had already played a big part in putting the Shakers ahead in the game, supplying a deep curling cross onto the head of teammate Anton Forrester in the 28th minute.
Sinnott then netted his first goal in professional football 12 minutes later, beating a defender by cutting onto his left foot on the edge of the box before powering a shot home.
Bury Manager Kevin Blackwell praised Jordan on their official website after the final whistle:
“Jordan Sinnott grew as the game went on and there is no doubt that he can see a pass. He is learning that the pace of the game compared to what he has been playing is fierce.”
Elsewhere Chris Atkinson played his fourth game for League 1 loanees Tranmere Rovers, but the side from the Wirral were defeated 2-1 at Crewe Alexandra.
