Professional Development League clashes at Charlton
Dates have been set for Town’s Under-21 and Under-18 Professional Development League 2 Play-Off games.
Town’s Under-21 side, led by Senior Professional Development Coach Steve Eyre, finished second in the Professional Development League 2 North and will now travel to Southern League winners Charlton Athletic.
The tie will be played at Charlton’s Sparrows Lane training ground (SE9 2JR) on Tuesday 7 May, 12 noon kick-off.
The winners will play away at either Leicester City or Cardiff City, who meet in the other semi-final, in the final of the competition.
At Under-18 level, where Town also finished second, Professional Development Coaches Frankie Bunn and Tony Carss’ side will also travel to Charlton, on Saturday 4 May, 12 noon kick-off.
The victors of that tie will travel to the winners of Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers in the final.
Dates for the final in both age groups have yet to be confirmed, although the venue for each was determined by a draw made by the Premier League.
