PROMOTION PARTY FOR TOWN DUO

30 April 2013

Ridehalgh and Carr involved in promotions this weekend

Two Huddersfield Town players were part of promotions for their respective teams over the weekend.

Although defender Liam Ridehalgh was an unused substitute for Rotherham United in their 2-0 home win over Aldershot on Saturday, the 22 year-old has played 20 games for the Millers this season as they have secured automatic promotion to League 1 this season, finishing second.

Elsewhere, recent signing Daniel Carr (pictured) started on Saturday as Dulwich Hamlet’s 1-1 home draw with Burgess Hill Town secured them the Isthmian League Division One South title. Carr didn’t score himself on Saturday, but he’s finished the season with an impressive 25 goals this season ahead of joining the Terriers in the summer.

Town’s other loanee, Kallum Higginbotham, made a late substitute appearance for Motherwell on Sunday as they defeated Scottish giants Celtic 3-1 on Sunday. Motherwell’s next game is a trip to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.
