Skipper visits youngsters ahead of Wembley date

Huddersfield Town Captain Peter Clarke passed on some words of wisdom to Honley Junior School’s U11s ahead of their Wembley date next month.

The youngsters will represent the Club next month after winning the regional heats of the npower U11s Community Cup.

Honley beat Middlesbrough in the regional heats to set up a date with Millwall on Sunday 27 May. The final will be contested at Wembley Stadium one hour before the Championship Play-Off Final begins!

Peter Clarke has plenty of experience of enjoying success at Wembley after helping Town win promotion their last season and he passed on some words of advice.

Accompanied by their teachers and Town’s Football in the Community coaches, Honley will travel down to Wembley over the Play-Off Final weekends to try and emulate Meltham who won the competition in 2011.

Former England defender Gareth Southgate has also paid the youngsters a visit in the lead up to final. Southgate is the Ambassador for the npower Community Cup and he held a training session with the U11s last week.
