HOYLE ISSUES BLACKBURN RALLYING CALL

15 April 2013

‘We need you’ says Town’s Chairman

Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle has urged the Club’s fans to roar the team to another victory in the important npower Championship game at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.

Town’s Ticket Office has been very busy in the early stages of Monday morning following Saturday’s win at Wolves, with advance sales climbing above 1,300 and expected to top 2,000 by close of business.

Town has an initial allocation of 2,318 tickets in the lower tier of the Bryan Douglas Stand and both clubs are in close contact regarding a possible extension of that number.

Around 5,000 Terriers fan made the relatively short journey to Ewood Park for Town’s last game there in 2005 and Hoyle told htafc.com that he wants to see similar numbers in Lancashire on Tuesday evening.

Advance tickets on sale at Town until 4pm on Tuesday. Fans can also pay in cash at the away ticket office at the ground on the night.

“We want thousands there and I ask the supporters to please make the trip – we need you! It will be massive if we can sell out the allocation,” said Dean.

“The backing at Wolves was fantastic. There’s no two ways about it, they made a huge difference; from the first to the last minute they were superb. It was a massive and well-deserved win at Wolves but we are still a long way off safety and we desperately want to win again tomorrow.

“We have always believed we are a better side that our league position suggests and we showed it on Saturday. The players worked their socks off and proved they can do it.

“We were fantastic from back to front, but we need to do it again at Blackburn. As I’ve said, the fans can really help us. Let’s pull together and get up to where we want to be.”
