Nobody beats Boothy the Banker
Over 100 hundred people attend Town’s take on the hit TV show Deal or No Deal on Thursday night.
Town fans young and old joined in the fun at Canalside as Town played four games of Deal or No Deal in the recently refurbished Radcliffe Suite.
Club Ambassador Andy Booth was the Banker while Commercial Director Sean Jarvis raided his wardrobe for some Hawaiian shirts to impersonate Noel Edmonds.
The event was hosted and organised by Town’s Promotions department with proceeds from the event going directly to the Club’s Academy.
Each attendee was given a number and the panel of contestants was drawn out at random by Andy Booth. From the 22, one was selected at random to take on the Banker.
In the first game Karen Clifford took the game right down to wire, but went home with just £2! Elizabeth Walker won a night at Luxury Bed and Breakfast Ackroyd House while Leanne Trickett and Chris Sheard both accepted offers from the Banker. Leanne Trickett went home with a six month membership to Stripes Gym, a bottle of whisky, a signed shirt and Gnome. Chris Sheard dealt on a money can’t buy day out with Andy Booth!

“I am delighted with how the night went, it was fantastically attended and everyone I spoke to on the night enjoyed their evening.
“Sadly, the majority of our main prizes went unclaimed, but I would like to thank CBCComputers.com who sponsored the event and donated a 42” TV and Virgin Atlantic who gave us two plane tickets.
“The event was for a good cause with proceeds going towards helping fund our Academy!”
