TOWN’S TEAM vs. DERBY

15 September 2012

Grayson hands Hammill full debut

Adam Hammill has been handed his full Huddersfield Town debut by Manager Simon Grayson in today’s 3pm kick-off at home to Derby County.

Hammill’s inclusion in the team is the only change to the side that drew 2-2 at Ipswich Town a fortnight ago.

Grayson’s side is expected to line up in a 4-4-1-1 formation this afternoon, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies protected by a back four of Scottish international Paul Dixon – who is making the 250th appearance of his career this afternoon – skipper Peter Clarke, Joel Lynch and right back Jack Hunt.

Adam Clayton will play from the right flank with Danny Ward continuing on the left, leaving Keith Southern to partner Oliver Norwood in central midfield.

Up front, new boy Hammill is expected to play just off central striker James Vaughan.
