Players warm up in special t-shirts at Blackpool
Eagle-eyed supporters last night will have noticed Town’s players warming up in special t-shirts promoting ‘Kirklees Business Week’ at Blackpool last night.
A week of action highlighting commercial success throughout the region, the lynchpin of Kirklees Business Week is the Kirklees Business Conference on Thursday, where over 40 of the biggest companies are gathering at the Stadium.
Town is putting its weight behind the campaign, as Commercial Director Sean Jarvis explained:
“Everyone associated with the Club will know how much we value and support our business community and champion those organisations within it.
“We also recognise that as a promotional tool for Kirklees and West Yorkshire we are privileged in regard to the PR we can generate and we felt that we had to do the right thing and raise awareness; not only of Kirklees Business Week but also the fantastic opportunities for people to want to do business in our community.
“We have an established partnership scheme here so we know first-hand how good and skilled the businesses in our region are and we work tirelessly to promote them. Hopefully getting the t-shirts seen by the 13,000 in the stadium and the hundreds of thousands watching on television at home will bring the thriving business community in our catchment area to everyone’s attention.”
Kirklees Business Week’s Danny Matharu added:
“The support we have had from Town has been magnificent with regard to Kirklees Business Week. The Chairman is the keynote speaker at Kirklees Business Conference and this piece of ‘guerrilla marketing’ was superb for everyone involved in the initiative.”
Huddersfield Town will have a presence at the Kirklees Business Conference on Thursday at stand 41 with lots of exciting activity’s going on, including the chance to win X Factor tickets!
