Club partner Orchard Environmental become title sponsors
Huddersfield Town Football Club is pleased to announce that Yorkshire waste management specialist and Club partner Orchard Environmental is the title sponsor of the Walk for Pounds challenge in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign!
The sponsored 19 mile walk, to be held on Saturday 10 November, will see fans trekking from Huddersfield to Barnsley Football Club’s Oakwell Stadium to raise funds for both the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Huddersfield Town Academy.
Pictured outside the Stadium are Sean Jarvis and Mark Jacobs of Huddersfield Town with Justin Holley and Natalie Faulkner-Lowe of Orchard Environmental Services Ltd.
Justin Holley said he hoped people would show their support by getting involved in the challenge: “Huddersfield Town is at the heart of our community and relies on the support of local people and businesses to make fundraising events like this a success and to raise awareness of the great work the club does in supporting local charities and inspiring young people to get involved in sport.
“We’re proud to be the title sponsor of this season’s Walk for Pounds and hope as many people as possible will show their support by getting involved and spreading the word.”
Huddersfield Town Commercial Director Sean Jarvis echoed Holley’s words: “We are delighted that one of our Club Partners has come to the aid of the Club again to help us raise money for the ‘Keep it Up’ campaign. The inaugural walk was extremely popular and successful last year and hopefully with the help of Orchard Environmental we will be able to build upon last year’s great achievement.”
Last season’s Walk for Pounds to Bury was a huge success, with £27,000 being raised for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign by 180 brave entrants.
So far, over £710,000 has been raised for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, with the target being £1 million by the end of the 2012/13 season.
