WALK DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR ENTRIES

13 October 2012

Closing date now Friday 26 October

130 people are now signed up to take part in the Club’s latest challenge in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign; Walk for Pounds 2, a sponsored 19 mile walk from Huddersfield to Barnsley FC - but we’re keeping the event open for late entries for another two weeks!

Those wishing to participate now have until Friday 26 October to get their entry forms in.

The walk, which is sponsored by Club partners Orchard Environmental, raises funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the HTAFC Academy, with each £1 donated being split 50p for each cause.

The walk will set off for Oakwell from Canalside on Leeds Road at approximately 7am on Saturday 10 November with the planned route going up to Waterloo, through Flockton, to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, to Darton and into Barnsley in time for kick off at 3pm.

Last season, over 180 people walked to Bury’s Gigg Lane for the KIU campaign, raising an incredible £27,000.

So far, over £710,000 has been raised for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, with the target being £1 million by the end of the 2012/13 season.

To sign up for the Walk, click HERE to download the official form and return complete to the address below with your £10 admin fee (which covers a hot sandwich and hot drink pre walk, completion t-shirt, bottle of water and a sugary snack).

Cheques can be made payable to the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, and should be returned to the Club FAO Robyn Deegan, Huddersfield Town Football Club, Stadium Way, Huddersfield, HD1 6PX.
