U21S PLAY AT STADIUM MONDAY NIGHT

28 October 2012

Come and watch the next generation!

Huddersfield Town’s Under-21 Professional Development League 2 game at home to Leicester City on Monday 29 October, 7pm kick-off, will be played at Town’s Stadium.

Steve Eyre’s side come into the game on the back of three wins and a draw in their last four outings and will be looking forward to playing at the on the pitch for the second time this season, as Senior Professional Development Coach Eyre explained:

“My key objective as a coach is to develop the players’ footballing skills, but development encompasses a lot of things.

“We are trying to create an environment for the players which is as close as possible to the First Team level – and that does involve playing in stadia, travelling overnight to games and working to the same levels in training as the established first team players. This means the transition and integration into the next level is improved.

“To play a game at the ground is designed to make sure that when the players are called upon by the Manager, they are ready to make the step-up.”

The game will be open to the public, with the north end of the Direct Golf UK Stand Lower Tier open. Admission is free for Season Card holders, whereas non-Season Card holders can pay £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
