TOWN’S TEAM vs. LEICESTER

2 October 2012

Scannell comes in for Beckford

Huddersfield Town Manager Simon Grayson has made one enforced change to his starting XI for tonight’s npower Championship home clash against Leicester City; 7.45pm kick-off.

With the on-loan Jermaine Beckford unable to feature against his parent club, Sean Scannell comes in for his first start since picking up an injury during the 2-0 home win over Burnley back in August.

Otherwise Town are unchanged, but could switch to a 4-3-3 formation for the clash with the Foxes, but in any case goalkeeper Alex Smithies will be protected by a back four of Paul Dixon, skipper Peter Clarke – making his 450th career appearance tonight – Anthony Gerrard and Jack Hunt.

On the 100th start of his career Adam Clayton is expected to move infield to form a midfield trio alongside the in-form Oliver Norwood and Keith Southern, leaving Danny Ward and Sean Scannell to flank Lee Novak in attack.
