Club give backing to inaugural Kirklees Responsible Business Awards
On Thursday evening Huddersfield Town will be supporting the inaugural Kirklees Responsible Business Awards.
The ceremony, which replaces the previously run Kirklees Green Business Awards, looks at recognising those businesses who demonstrate outstanding work in the community as well as looking at the local environment.
As part of the evening Huddersfield Town will be presenting one of the ‘Excellence in the Community’ awards.
“Our community is the heartbeat of the Football Club so we’re delighted to help recognise those who are excelling” said Business Development Manager Mark Davies who will be presenting the award. “Every Town supporter recognises the huge emphasis we pay
on our community work and how it has formed the cornerstone of how we run as a business as well as getting more people involved with us as a Club.
“Being involved heavily in the community has given us the opportunity to meet other like-minded businesses in the region and from that we have seen that there is some fantastic work being undertaken and this should rightfully be recognised in any way that it can.
“We see the football club as a community and believe that every business in Kirklees has a role to play in putting Huddersfield on the map.”
The ceremony is being held at Cathedral House in Huddersfield and will include music, food, networking and guest speakers.
