Town attend Firework Extravaganza at Hollybank

Members of the Huddersfield Town Supporter Partnerships and Football in the Community team attended Hollybank Trust’s Firework Extravaganza event on Friday night.

At least two thousand people flocked to Whiteleys Garden Centre on Leeds Road to attend Hollybank Trust’s free Firework Extravaganza event.

Town had a small stall at the event which housed the Club’s Play-Off Trophy – which unsurprisingly proved a popular attraction! Club Mascot Terry the Terrier was also a star attraction on the evening, posing for lots of photos with young Terriers. The Club also raffled off a signed ball to raise funds for Town’s Charity partner.

Terry (pictured above) also showed off his wild side by being one of only a handful of brave souls to go on the Cliffhanger ride!

Suzanne Barton, Corporate Fundraiser at Hollybank said: “It was a very exciting evening and we were delighted with how many people came. Our beautiful grounds looked very autumnal. It’s great to be able to continue our good relationship with Whiteleys with events like this. Thanks to them for providing such an impressive firework display.”

Town’s Supporter Partnerships Manager, Robyn Deegan, who attended the event, was delighted at its success: “Despite the weather the evening was very enjoyable and well attended. We support all three of our charity partners at every given opportunity and we were happy to go along, fundraise and promote the excellent work that the Hollybank Trust is doing in our local community.

Hollybank meets the needs of children and adults with complex disabilities, but our aim is to reach way beyond meeting purely physical needs to nuture, develop and enrich the lives of those who spend time with us.
