LYNCH OUT OF WALES SQUAD

8 October 2012

Defender pulls out through injury

Huddersfield Town defender Joel Lynch has been withdrawn from the Wales squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and Croatia due to injury.

The centre back missed Saturday’s win at Birmingham City after pulling out of training on Thursday with a pain in his knee, which has since been diagnosed as a small fragment of floating bone.

“Joel will wear a brace for the next four or five days to help the healing process,” Town Manager Simon Grayson explained.

“He’ll return to see the specialist at the end of this week and hopefully will be given the all clear.”

Town’s First Team is back in action on Saturday 20 October when Wolves visit – buy your ticket online and print it at home HERE!
