Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle is the latest name to sign up to the ‘Walk for Pounds 2’ sponsored walk to Barnsley!
There is still time to walk with the Town Chairman too – you have until Friday 26 October to get your entry forms in.
Over 150 people are now signed up to take part in the Club’s latest challenge in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign; Walk for Pounds 2, a sponsored 19 mile walk from Huddersfield to Barnsley FC.
The walk, which is sponsored by Club partners Orchard Environmental, raises funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the HTAFC Academy, with each £1 donated being split 50p for each cause.
The walk will set off for Oakwell from Canalside on Leeds Road at approximately 7am on Saturday 10 November with the planned route going up to Waterloo, through Flockton, to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, to Darton and into Barnsley in time for kick off at 3pm.
Last season, over 180 people walked to Bury’s Gigg Lane for the KIU campaign, raising an incredible £27,000.
So far, over £710,000 has been raised for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, with the target being £1 million by the end of the 2012/13 season.
