Plenty of off the field activity last night
Huddersfield Town’s npower Championship home clash with Leicester City had plenty to offer off the field of play to fans in attendance last night!
Among the star attractions was Manchester-based acoustic duo Colour Blue, who braved the weather in the gazebo outside the Direct Golf UK Stand ahead of kick-off to provide Town – and Leicester – fans with a bit of music.
Colour Blue was also here to promote the Oxjam Music Festival, which is back in Huddersfield for a third year.
Town’s award-winning cheerleaders were also back in force, providing half-time entertainment on the pitch during the interval.
Thanks must also go to the evening’s sponsors; Chadwick Lawrence was Match Sponsor; Aura Print was Man of the Match Sponsor and selected Danny Ward to receive last night’s accolade; King Scientific was in the prestigious Heritage Suite and Zebra Finance was Match Ball Sponsor.
Meanwhile the new Lewis James Suite was full with local MP Jason McCartney was among the guests on the evening, whilst Rich Stangroom from So Purple Group Ltd won the quiz and went home with a hamper full of Rekorderlig Cider!
Former Town and Leicester City midfielder Ian Banks made the half-time Golden Gamble draw and also made a guest appearance in the White Rose Club to regale attendees with tales of his time at both clubs alongside Match Day Announcer Paul Ramsden. Town had four mascots on the evening courtesy of the Blue & White Foundation; 12 year-old Tamla Dickson, 13 year-old Calum Fennell; 12 year-old Emma Furness and 12 year-old Lucy Fisher.
