Allinson and Crooks visit Yorkshire Building Society

Huddersfield Town squad members Lloyd Allinson and Matt Crooks joined ‘Terry the Terrier’ and the Play-Off Trophy at the New Street branch of Yorkshire Building Society today to show their support for the ‘Terriers Account’.

The account, which has been running for over 10 years, was established to support the Club’s Academy and the money raised through it’s contributions has had a massive influence in the development of Town’s current crop of Academy graduates such as Jack Hunt, Alex Smithies and Tom Clarke – as well as the two players involved in today’s visit.

“YBS and the Terriers Account have provided the platform for the Club’s development and its Academy status since it began,” said HTAFC Business Development Manager, Mark Davies.

“The Academy has received over £70,000 a year since its inception and coupled with the other schemes the Club runs to fundraise for the development of our youngsters such as the Keep It Up campaign, Blue and White Foundation and the Patrons, the players now receive the best training from the best staff, in the best facilities.

Goalkeeper Lloyd echoed Mark’s comments:

“We’d like to thank YBS and every Terriers Account holder for their support over the years.

“Being at Town from a young age I have first-hand experience of life in the Academy and the Club means so much to me. We’ve always had great equipment and coaches and a part of that is down to the contribution the Terriers Account and the Club’s relationship with Yorkshire Building Society has made.”

The Terriers Account with YBS has over 2,000 holders and offers some great deals for those signing up. For full details click here or visit your local branch!
