‘keeper pays Dewsbury school visit

Dewsbury-based St John’s Primary School received just one of the perks of being a Huddersfield Town school partner when ‘keeper Alex Smithies paid them a visit with Club Ambassador Andy Booth.

The goalkeeper visited the school last week along with Ambassador Andy Booth as guests in a question and answer session.

The pair spoke about their experiences as footballers at Huddersfield Town and what it was like being a footballer.

Alex visited the school as part of the 'One Game One Community' week of awareness. Town has dedicated its match against Wolves to the campaign and you can purchase a ticket, by clicking HERE!

St John’s Primary School is one of a large number of schools signed up to the Club's School Partnership scheme; if you would like to get involved or for more information call Town's Rachel Taylor (details below).

The aim of Town's school partnership is to formalise the offerings Huddersfield Town currently make to schools in one service through the Club, FITC and support sessions. It will also provide schools with assistance during the recession through 'cashback' schemes, student rewards, player visits and school kits provided by Huddersfield Town.
