4TH CAP FOR JAKE IN NARROW DEFEAT

24 October 2012

Academy youngster plays for Under-17s in Estonia

Huddersfield Town Academy scholar Jake Charles earned his fourth cap for the Welsh Under-17 side on Tuesday as they fell to a narrow defeat at the hands of England.

This was Wales’s second defeat in the space of three days in Estonia, but the game featured a much-improved performance from the Welsh youngsters after a heavy 4-0 defeat to Northern Ireland in their opening 2013 U17 UEFA Championship qualifier on Sunday.

The final of Wales’ three matches in Estonia takes place on Friday when they take on the hosts.

Two of the four teams in the group will qualify for the Elite Round to be played in the Spring of 2013.

Meanwhile, Jake’s Town under-18 teammate Will Boyle has now headed off to take part in Scotland’s Under-18 training camp in Falkirk (click HERE for full info).
