WELL DONE TO ALL KIU WALKERS!

10 November 2012

175 HTAFC Fans ‘Walk for Pounds’ to Barnsley

175 Huddersfield Town fans - including the Club’s Chairman Dean Hoyle and Commercial Director Sean Jarvis - have taken part in the Club’s latest challenge in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign this morning; ‘Walk for Pounds 2’, a sponsored 19 mile walk from Huddersfield to Barnsley!

The walk, which was sponsored by HTAFC Club partners Orchard Environmental, raises funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the HTAFC Academy, with each £1 donated being split 50p for each cause.

The walk set off for Oakwell from Canalside Sports Complex at 7am, with the route going up to Waterloo, through Flockton, to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, to Darton and into Barnsley in time for kick off at 3pm.

Last season, over 180 people walked to Bury’s Gigg Lane for the KIU campaign, raising an incredible £27,000.

So far, over £710,000 has been raised for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, with the target being £1 million by the end of the 2012/13 season.

A full review of the walk will appear on htafc.com on Monday!
