TOWN’S TEAM vs. BRISTOL CITY

3 November 2012

Four changes to today’s starting XI

Huddersfield Town Manager Simon Grayson has made four changes to the starting XI for today’s npower Championship home clash against Bristol City; 3pm kick-off.

Sadly Jermaine Beckford has joined strike partner James Vaughan on the sidelines after picking up an injury during the week, so Sean Scannell makes his first start for four games after an impressive appearance in the Under-21 League against Leicester City on Monday night.

Elsewhere Calum Woods replaces the suspended Jack Hunt at right back and Scottish international Paul Dixon returns to the starting line-up at the expense of Anthony Gerrard, which will mean Joel Lynch switches infield to centre back.

The final change comes in midfield, where Oliver Norwood is restored to the starting line-up in place of Danny Ward.

It looks like the Terriers will line up in a 4-3-3 formation this afternoon, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies protected by a back four of Paul Dixon, Joel Lynch, skipper Peter Clarke and Calum Woods at right back. Oliver Norwood, Keith Southern and Adam Clayton will form the central midfield trio with Sean Scannell and Adam Hammill flanking Lee Novak in attack.
