TOWN APPEALS SOUTHERN RED CARD
26 November 2012
Huddersfield Town can today confirm that it has appealed against the sending off of Keith Southern during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic.
The midfielder was shown a straight red card for serious foul play in the 34th minute of the game at the Valley after going into a challenge on the halfway line with home defender Michael Morrison.
This red card carries a three match suspension, which would see Keith unavailable for the games against Middlesbrough (27 November), Leeds United (1 December) and Bolton Wanderers (8 December).
Huddersfield Town Operations Director Ann Hough has already informed the Football Association that the Club is appealing and a decision is expected on Tuesday afternoon.
