COME EARLY FOR WALKERS LAP OF HONOUR

16 November 2012

Walk for Pounds participants heralded at 2.30pm

Huddersfield Town is urging supporters to arrive early to Saturday’s npower Championship game against visitors Brighton on Saturday to give the participants in last weekend’s ‘Walk for Pounds’ a big welcome home!

The 175 walkers have been invited to take part in a pre-match lap of honour around the famous pitch at Town’s home from 2.30pm on Saturday and it would be great to give them a proper welcome home after their tremendous fundraising efforts for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign last weekend.

After the 19 mile trek to Barnsley’s Oakwell Stadium, the quick jaunt around the pitch will be little bother - but any encouragement from the stands would be welcomed!

There’s plenty to look forward to on the pitch as well tomorrow as Gus Poyet’s Seagulls arrive in town for our ‘Children of Courage’ game – click HERE for more information on how to get your ticket now!

After the final whistle it is the annual Christmas Lights Switch-On in Huddersfield town centre and Town will be right at the centre of events, with mascot ‘Terry the Terrier’ due on stage on the Piazza to lead several children’s Christmas games before the lights are switched on at 6.30pm.

The Brighton copy of Give Us An H can be downloaded online and viewed on iPads for £2.49 now - click HERE for full info!
