RHODES WINS BWF PLAYER OF THE YEAR!

17 July 2012

Striker adds another trophy to his collection

Town's leading goal scorer Jordan Rhodes has scooped the Blue and White Foundation's Player of the Season award for the 2011/12 season.

The former Ipswich striker unsurprisingly won the majority of the vote with 'keeper Ian Bennett and strike partner Lee Novak finishing second and third respectfully. The award comes shortly after Jordan was voted the League 1 Player of the Year at the Football League Awards ceremony.

Jordan has scored 38 goals in 42 appearances for Town this year, which include five hat tricks. The 22 year-old scored four goals against Sheffield Wednesday in late December and then went one better scoring five against Wycombe in the first week of 2012.

Jordan takes the Blue and White Foundation accolade from Peter Clarke, who won it last term.

Thank you to all the BWF members who voted for their Player of the Season.
