TOWN’S TEAM vs. LEEDS UNITED

1 December 2012

Simon Grayson makes four changes for the derby

Huddersfield Town Manager Simon Grayson has made four changes to his starting XI for today’s West Yorkshire derby with Leeds United; kick-off 12.30pm.

Grayson’s changes come all over the pitch with Anthony Gerrard returning to the back four at the expense of Paul Dixon – Joel Lynch moves into a left back role.

Town will play a four man midfield with Adam Clayton returning from suspension to face his old team – Oliver Norwood drops to the bench. Also in midfield, Chris Atkinson makes his first start of the season for the Terriers, as Anton Robinson drops out of the 18.

Grayson’s final change is upfront with Alan Lee making his first start of the season alongside Simon Church.

Danny Ward’s start for Town today is his 50th League start for the Club; Jack Hunt will make his 100th appearance in the Football League and Joel Lynch will make the 200th appearance of his career in all competitions.

Town (4-4-2): Alex Smithies will be protected by a back four of Joel Lynch, skipper Peter Clarke, Anthony Gerrard and Jack Hunt. Scott Arfield (right) and Danny Ward (left) will provide Town’s width while Adam Clayton and Chris Atkinson will play from the centre of midfield.
