One change made to starting XI

Huddersfield Town Manager Simon Grayson has made one change to the starting XI for today’s 3pm kick-off at home to Blackpool.

With centre back Joel Lynch serving a one match suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season at Crystal Palace on Saturday, skipper Peter Clarke returns to the side to face his former club; he was Blackpool’s ‘Player of the Year’ in 2005.

Town’s side is expected to line up in a 4-4-2 formation this afternoon, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies making his 150th start for the Club behind a back four of Calum Woods, Captain Peter Clarke, Anthony Gerrard and Jack Hunt. Adam Clayton makes the 100th league start of his career on the right wing with Sean Scannell on the left, leaving former Blackpool man Keith Southern in central midfield alongside Oliver Norwood. James Vaughan will partner Jermaine Beckford in attack.
